Last Month I went to the Blade West show. I found this. The Blade Master Tells me it is a no shit monkey stomping knife. I believe him.

TS,

How do you like the EOTEC mounted far forward on the upper? Do you use the flip up sight for longer distance shots?

I tried mine trail and forward and have ended up going back to the old reflex sight for CQB only.

off topic, sorry! :o

MFFJM,

I’ve not got enough rounds downrange using the optic to really give an experienced opinion. But my thoughts on moving the optic far forward is simple, it allows me more peripheral vision.

The elusive and little spoken of Harsey, Pear Blossom tactical :D Is that the art edumacation kicking in?

Is it etched?

OK, Blademaster spill the beans. It sure is cool.

The Reaper 10-24-2004 07:42

Mr. Harsey, you are an artiste!

TR

Bill Harsey 10-24-2004 08:21

The drawing on the knife was acid etched. Drawing was done freehand with a fine steel point thru a resist. It's hard to find a good resist that will hold onto high polished steel. If the resist lifts during the etch, everything is ruined.

The Pear Blossom design idea came from the pear tree about 20 feet from my first forge and knifemaking shop.

In spite of my art education I still did this.
