SERE 215
I'm not trying to G2 the course but if anyone would happen to have a complete packing list for this course (located in Spokane, WA) I would appreciate it. Please PM me the list.
I was sent a preliminary list that was a tad vague. As I only have a month to prepare I'd like to get my house in order asap. Thanks in advance guys. Joshua |
The Air Force SERE course at Fairchild? In January at Cusick? Hope you like snow.

Then you should do great with the packing list they sent. :)
(Sorry. Couldn't resist. ) If they sent you a list that is vague, that should be a sign that you should be vague on what you take. |

You're from Florida, oh my. What Cusick lacks in heat it makes up for in steep. Good luck! |

USAF uses different course numbers (S-VXX-X) but sent you a PM. Suggest trying to walk-on as many courses as they will allow.

IF its the USAF school (SV-80a)
if the SERE class you are going to is the AF run school, the packing list may seem vague but in reality it is everything that you need. When you get there you will be issued everything that you are going to be allowed to use while in the field and in the camp setting that is not on your list. I just go with the list. When i went in '04 a packing list was not sent out to USAF PJ students at the time, we all did fine, big thing don't forget orders and medical records, the AF is huge on have both and without a current physical you will likely be a "No-Go".
For any equipment that you are told that you can use but don't have with you and were not issued there is a BX/PX at lodging at another on the main base, not to mention the host of supply stores in town. Remember that if you are going to the AF course it is designed for Aircrew and you may feel very much too "high speed" when you get there. If you can try to link up with PJ, CCT, TACP guys and get put into Flight (squad/platoon) with them. Good luck have fun. |
