Hunters on Friday spotted the van of Albert and Rita Chretien on a logging road in Elko County in northeastern Nevada, according to a statement by the Baker City, Ore., police, who had searched for the couple........................" Good thing she had a supply of trail mix. Kinda' a long ways between places out in that neck of the woods. Wonder if there will be more on what she did - or didn't do - during those 7 weeks. |
No disrespect Pete, but I am going to wait for further information on this one. Seven weeks with nothing but trail mix and water? That is either alot of trail mix or she looks like she just exited a concentration camp.
Without any further information or pictures I think it is 50/50 that her story is B.S., she off-ed her husband and was playing the slots in Reno for the last few weeks. :munchin |
Elko , NV might be a small town as towns go, but by no means remote. The Ruby Mountain area is remote, but covered every square inch, by cowboys, indians, horses, oil rigs, gold mines, rail road workers, homes. From anywhere in the Elko area, walk 10 miles in any direction, you'll run into someone.
I tried to get away last year and not one day went by when I did not see somesone. Getting lost is getting tougher every day. |

They say she just got "fed up" with him. He was always sticking his foot in her mouth. I heard he got his ass chewed out on the trip. |
