Workout that helps prepare for Selection?

Hey guys, first post here. Glad to be here. I've been reading throughout the forums a lot, and I've searched for this type of thread but didn't get much.

So I ask, what do you guys think the best type of workout would be for preparing for Q course? Now before you say 'rucking rucking and more rucking' I've got that part covered. I ruck every other day, 25 lb at the moment, three miles, and going up a mile and 10lb every week.

I have until next year before I even go to basic training, so I think I have some time for rucking. But I was thinking more along the lines of endurance training.

How can you prepare for pushing yourself so hard without sleep, for two/three weeks (I've heard from different places, is it 2 or 3 weeks for Selection and Assessment?)

I'm not sure if the exact exercises that the cadre's make you do at camp is classified, but if it isn't, could someone share something I can do at my gym to prepare?

So far, I've got push ups, pull ups, a whole bunch of abs, normal strength training, and rucking.

Oh....and what is phase 1 of SFAS about? You always hear about selection and assessment, but never about conditioning, what will be their focus there? Are you watched (judged) or is it just a more extreme form of boot camp to get you ready?

Thanks, I'm on my way to be a SF man, I hope I can make it.

There is a book out titled "Getting Selected", look for it using the "search" function. I have seen it in Barnes and Noble ocassionally. Purchase it and follow it.

How old are you?

Are you familiar with the Search button?

Good catch going back and introducing yourself before you got caught.

I recommend searching for and reading the board rules and stickies as well as "A Message to Garcia" before posting again and do not start any new threads here for a year.
