Researched vision requirements
By the way, i don't know how many people actually bothered to check out AR 40-501 when referered there by a member of the forums, but it is a great source of information.
Don't do this again. You aren't here to answer other people's questions. Only your own. Eagle |
Read the AR, still kinda puzzled.
What I gathered from the infromation I read is that PRK is accepted for SFAS/SFQC entry. Permitted a certain time has lapsed from the date of the surgery, and there were no "negative" side affects. Would anyone mind reading over that portion and telling me if I seem to be correct. Chapter 2-12 of AR 40-501. Thanks in advance for your help.

That is consistent with information I got when I asked an sf recruiter about a month ago. He said 6 months is a standard minimum time to heal and then you need to get your eyes checked to see how it went. I had the same questions as my eyes are around -3.
