MT Currahee sand camo + new sheath
1 Attachment(s)
Just thought I'd share a project I did locally this weekend. MT Currahee got "matching" kydex IWB sheath on Saturday (I did the camo to "match" stripes on the knife). I know that some find knives with blade under 6" as "non-combat", but this is a very well made knife. And it's really extremely tough, but thanks to high grind still cuts like hell. A good overall field knife. At least in my book.

Very Trick... How did you color the Kydex? You must have a knife collection that rivals some stores.

Piter,
That is some great looking Kydex! (as is usual with your work);) Are you coming over for Blade Show this year? |

Looks like a great combo to me. It might be a good 'Urban' combat knife as well! :munchin |
Looks good Sir,
Is it a trade secret what you used to finish the knife? I'm not going to be spraying any knifes - but I am refinishing some scrached up optics soon ( Aimpoints, Eotechs, Bushnell Holosights ). I'm going the cheap and easy route with black Krylon Primer / black Krylon Camouflage for the metal parts and black Krylon Camouflage Fusion for the plastics on the holographic sights. I was tempted to finish them with a clear epoxy coat - but I'm hoping some of the guys will eventually chip in with me to get an air compressor and airbrush for a DuraCoat setup. :munchin |
The knife has been coated with KG GunKote, the same great stuff that Chris Reeve uses. You can purchase it @ Brownells.com
