In need of some HK USP part assistance please
ALCON,
I am in need of an ambidextrous safety for a full size HK 45. My usually rock solid parts dealers (midway and brownells) were unable to fulfill my needs. I understand the ambi safety/ de-cocker for the HK USP full size will fit my needs. Does anyone have any leads on where to get this part? TIA, SJ |
Is this the part?
Cal's Sporting Armory Part - scroll all the way down. Also hkpartsonline.com but I don't know the exact part number - Link. |
HKPRO dot com has a forums section.
Seems to be a good deal of parts floating around. I would screen it and register if they have what you need. http://www [dot] impactguns [dot] com/store/K217755.html |
Well
Having not been able to find the part for the .45 in an online catalog (usually not going to find individual parts like that for a pistol that almost never breaks control levers), Center Mass Firearms (google it, first link) is a licensed part distributor. Just give them a call, I can almost guarantee they either have it or can get it for ya.
For parts like that (the ones that never break.......but do), always find a licensed PARTS distributor and call 'em. They're the ones that supply your gunsmith, and you can usually get a better deal than Brownell's that way. Only problem is that some companies like to keep the parts distributing in-house, like Glock and Steyr.
I learned this in the process of overhauling a few CNC turning and Milling centers. Solenoids can be a ROYAL penny to replace if you go through the professional machinery repairmen. Grab a part and manufacturer number and start calling around, you could save yourself thousands easy. |

Doc, hkparts.net didn't have it either, and my googlefu is REALLY failing me on this one. I will make some calls tomorrow thanks for the suggestions everyone. |
I have called and or e-mailed all of the above suggestions. Everyone states it will take at least 6 months to fill the order. Aside from a time machine anyone else have any suggestions?
TIA |
Buy a Sig...no safety lever to break. :p
