Boot Restrictions in SFAS?
Hello everyone,
Before our Light Infantry Brigade deployed to Afghanistan a select few battalions were selected to participate in a Army evaluation of various Civilian style Mountain boots. (The battalions selected were the Infantry Battalions, Coincidence?) I have been enjoying my boots quite a bit, they seem to provide excellent ankle support and ideal traction. I have obviously been getting spoiled. My question is this. Am I going to be able to use these boots when I go to SFAS? (I would most likely have to purchase new ones as they may be thrashed by the time I'm done with all this dismount action) I am interested mainly because I want to be prepared to train in good old issued boots (when we get back) if need be. Any knowledge is appreciated. |
Do a search on the SFAS Forum. Search Boots and do some reading. This has been discussed to death. I got 36 hits and the first few had the answer.
Read this thread: http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/...S+packing+list Search - Read - Search more and more ask less. If you exhaust your search then Post. This just took me 2 min to find..... http://www.specialops.org/ SFAS Prep Book is a great resource. http://www.bragg.army.mil/specialfor...cking_list.htm |

Use the Search button. Do not post again till you can tell me how many threads there are on SFAS issue boots. Bear in mind that this board has been up and running for more than four years. There are very few questions you can ask that have not been asked before. TR |
I appreciate the response. It would seem you found my answer in a fashion I could have myself :(. I apologize for the duplicate post. I will read more before I post in the future.
I had not realized how extensive this forum is. It would seem like I need not post any questions I have about SFAS, as they all have been answered elsewhere. I am excited to be part of this highly experienced knowledgebase. Thanks again! (Special Forces Assessment & Selection Thread, here I come!) |
Apparently you didn't read TR's post above...I'll reiterate.
