Spent Easter oiling some of the Gun safe items

Took a pick of my Randall collection. One of these was carried by my wife's father in RVN. There are two not shown(placed in the house and weren't in the safe)... All these knives are used for hunting/camping... they show the wear.

I went ahead and took individual pics of the knives for my insurance agent while I had them out. If anyone is interested in a closer pic of any of them, let me know.

Mr. Harsey... I know they are not to your level sir, but do you like anything you see here sir?

VERY Nice!!

You should trade in your pimp gun collection and buy more knives.

What the HELL's in the Knife Safe ????

Sacamuelas 04-11-2004 20:22

These were in the safe.. the other two were not. That is why they were not out when I took the pics. I WISH I had a separate need for a knife safe.
My bad for the confusion AM.

Let me go find a few more pimp guns pics for that other thread...LOL

Jawbreaker! What a great group of knives! First, I will never claim to be at the level of a Randall Knife. I have too much respect for the Randall family and it's accomplishments in knifemaking. The Randall Knife is founder and king of modern custom production knifemaking. One of the proudest moments I ever had as a young knifemaker is when Col. Rex Applegate returned from his visit with Bo Randall and handed me a photo of Bo receiving into his collection a custom (made by me) A/F dagger. This meant that Bo Randall put my knife under his collection glass! That is still big stuff for me. I wish nothing but the Best for the Randall Shop.

IF you make something like this...how many bills would a "Hank Hill" Harsey custom made knife set me back "similar" in style to this one? (sorry about the pic, I am at work and don't have access to the real indiv. pics so I had to crop the one one on the site)

I would PM you but I can't post a pic of what I am talking about in a PM.

I think we should try to badger Mr. Harsey into printing a catalog, or at least a few photos of everything he makes for us to drool over and him to take orders on.

We might have to sacrifice some of the quality time he spends hanging out with us here, but in the big picture, it might be worth it. If he is comfortable with this, I do not presume to speak for Master Bladesmith Harsey.

Since we are the ones asking him to sell us stuff, I do not think that the TS would have any problems with it. It isn't like Ranger Rick popping in and advertising his self-garroting survival necklace on his first post.

Just a thought. Feel free to square me away if I am wrong.

Mr. Harsey - No worries, I'd be happy to do it for you anywhere, anytime. And back it up if need be.

Nice collection there Molar Mechanic. I had a 14 and always wanted a 2 back in my younger days.

YES! I DID IT! The image is from Dietmar Pohl's book on tactical Knives. These are Harsey Custom Applegate fairbairn knives, both from 154CM Steel. One standard 6 inch dagger and the other 7 inch with "special pommel". Bill
