For those of you that haven't seen John Plaster's Pictorial History of SOG, here is a pic of RTNY 1970-1971:

Those are some great pictures. "What God giveth, CAR-15 taketh away..."
For anyone that doesn't have it, the Plaster SOF picture-book is not only amazing in terms of the images it provides, but also has some in-depth text supporting and explaining each picture and the general categories the pictures fit into. It is a book which is both readable and viewable.

Do any other QP's want to post pictures of themselves? It's always interesting to put a face with a name, and I'm sure the ladies and Dentists on the board wouldn't mind...

I like the indig in front on the left side (next to you?).

A CAR-15, an RPG, and a pistol.

Obviously a belt and suspenders man.

Great pic, who is the other American?

Negative on the "Belt and suspenders". We all carried multiple weapons, after all, we were going up against a numerically superior force. That RPG though was loaded with a "Pre-Mod" Round. The "Post-Mod" units were wrapped with flechettes and the standoff was filled with CS Powder.

More pics tomorrow.

And yes, that is AM !!
