You Got to Love It
Guys:
One of my High Speed Presidents Hundred muldoons has been pressuring me and an NCO we work with to buy an Armalite National Match AR-15 for about $800.00 per rifle. I said no as I don't shoot service rifle anymore and have a AR Space Gun when ever I want to be un-impressed by the 5.56 for competitive purposes as a Match Rifle cartridge. So this guy spends the money and gets his good deal Armalite today. Low and behold, the rear sight aperature was put on the rifle backwards. Absolutely. I had to put my fingers on the thing as my eyes didn't believe what I was seeing. He, he, he. The concave part of the sight was away from the eye. $800.00 for a rifle whose sight is on backwards! Living proof why I refuse to buy any out of the box rifle. Gene |

I contacted the owner of ArmaLite, Mark Westrom about this. Here is his reply. HTH. TR Quote:

Roger that -- thus saying that every National Match Hooded Aperature made for the M-14 and AR-15 really doesn't work. There is a reason why that aperature is concave. Proven for many years to be superior than a flat sight. Mark knows better. Gene |
