A Sunday morning treat Salami egg and cheese.

JJ_BPK 01-14-2018 09:16

I often have a scrambled egg, Sausage, & cheese on a toasted 8inch softshell taco. :lifter

PSM 01-14-2018 10:57

There must be some kind of collective consciousness on this board. I made a fried egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich for lunch yesterday. I haven't had one in years.

Combat Diver 01-14-2018 11:40

I had a BLT with 1/2 lb of bacon this morning.

So why is there toast and eggs in the photo?

Bacon and coffee is all you need:D

2018commo 01-14-2018 17:23

1. Scrapple, egg and cheese on an English muffin, cooked on cast iron over a wood fire.
2. “Breakfast on a Bun” Jimmies Seafood, Baltimore Md. Kaiser roll with fried egg, bacon, hash browns and sub hots.

We've all gotta go sometime. Might as well have a smile on your face. :D

BTW, my cardiologist weighs about 350#. Most male members of his family died before 56. He's 58. I kinda, sorta, wasn't too kind in my reply but it was humorous given the circumstances. Nothing wrong with my heart, just my hernia surgeon covering her ass for the anesthesia.

Flagg 01-15-2018 00:20

It used to be pork roll egg and cheese on a nice bun.

But low sugar/carb me now eats a piece of bacon with either an egg or a zucchini fritter.

The next project is a hard boiled egg, inside of an avacado, wrapped in a piece of bacon, heated up on a skillet for a few minutes.

Is there anyone else on this forum that dislikes runny eggs?

Yep....just make sure you add extra hot sauce and jalapenos to that bad boy....:p

Box 01-16-2018 12:33

Why do people say "extra" hot sauce?

There is no such thing as "extra" - the more correct term is "lots" of hot sauce.

The following items would be found in a properly constructed breakfast burrito:

diced smoked ham
hot sauce
Neeses Country Sausage
Bacon
Eggs
Vidalia Onions
hot sauce
Sliced jalapenos
Bacon
Shredded potato
black beans
hot sauce
sour cream
cilantro
diced tomato
shredded cheddar cheese
hot sauce

rsdengler 01-16-2018 12:39

LOL...Stop being difficult....OK....XTRA...meaning freakin, burn my tongue HOT.....that's what I meant.....:D

I rank more Hot Sauce right up there with runny egg yolks. Hot sauce is an acquired taste and I never saw so much as a drop of it when I was growing up, it did however seem to be a staple in all the mess halls I ever dined at.

Hillary Clinton carries hot sauce with her every where she goes. You don't have to like it - you just have to posses it.

Toast with peanut butter and a farm fresh egg (thanks to my coworker, get them weekly) over easy on top. Don't forget the fresh cracked pepper and a dash of salt.

I experimint..

I have several Samich's,, w/ either bacon or bulk Jimmy Dean spicy sausage. Servings are one egg, one slice thick cut bacon or one-ounce sausage

on toast with honey
on toast w/PB&J
on toasted 8inch taco w/scrambled egg

I also throw in chopped onion, peppers, & shrooms, as available

These are not exclusive AM Samich's, I'll make one for lunch or supper or dinner when I want a quick filling meal.
:lifter

Pete 02-19-2018 06:57

OK, in the once in a while category - Fried SPAM, Egg and Cheese on any handy bun - with lots of hot sauce.

There's just something about some crispy fried SPAM

bblhead672 02-19-2018 08:39

There's a bbq chain here in Texas called Rudy's BBQ that makes an excellent breakfast taco. Meat choices: brisket, sausage, bacon, chorizo, jalapeno sausage and for the non-meat eaters: potatoes, beans. All with egg and cheese.
Reasonably priced too at $2.19.

Or fishing a mystery C-ration from the immersion heaters at Camp Mackall along with a slice of white bread and milk. I must be getting old because that is now a fond memory!

Hey, just because something's old, doesn't mean you don't use it or throw it away ...

Case in point ... Look at all the FOGs here on this site. :D

Ah yes, ham and mf's from the immersion heater at Mackall.

On another note, the perfect breakfast sandwich for me is one egg over easy with two slices of liver mush with a touch of mayo on untasted white bread. Put that on top of your head and your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get to it!

I had to look that up. I lived in many areas of the South but never ran into it. Sounds good, though.
