In order to not be hanged as a Pirate for hijacking the Para Warthog thread, Here is a SHOT thread. Who is going, when, who will you be with , etc. etc. etc.



Forgot to add, I'll be there, not sure of the dates yet, probably 27/28-31 if I have anything to say about it. Kinda hard to call in sick when my boss will probably be on the next aisle at the time. I just have that kind of luck

I had scheduled myself to go. My attention is needed elsewhere( down on the leech farm they are clamoring for attention). I very sadly will not be able to go.

Of course Chris Reeve and I will be there for the whole show at the CRK booth.

All right... who can obtain some "legit" creds for me?? I will travel on my own dime, drink my own liquor, show up at the show "to work" for free, deliver a bottle of spirits to the Boss for free, and will quietly walk the show and/or stay drunk in the corner happy as a pig in mud. Mmm. SHOT Show. I've never been, but have only wished. I've a friend that runs a night vision business, which sounds like good enough creds for me (I hope). And Vegas is close.

My Father lives in Vegas and he missed last year's show because of treatments. It would be great if he could find some of the booths some of you will be at and meet some of you. He is a great guy who spent 23 years as an LEO. Wish I could go but again I have business to tend to here in snowy, cold, slushy Cleveland.

Hope some of you could share some pics.

We will do our best, however Shot has a NO PHOTO policy. :(

LOL... No photo policy? Hmm, didn't know that. I called Dad anyway and asked if he was going. He'll try. If he does make it then it would be great if ANYONE here met him. He is obviously a better man than I and someone - I feel - would be better off for having met him.

No FFL, no industry business card. I live In Las Vegas though, it'd be great fun to go, but all I can offer is maybe a couple of rounds of beer.

My bro and I might go, if his orders don't get changed and we can find a way in. We'd be glad to meet your pa.

Just seeing where everybody is staying. Me and my guys are staying at Circus Circus. It was the closeset that we could come to for per diem. Just seeing if anybody else found a better deal. We are going to hit the "All you can eat Brazillian BBQ" while we are there..........if anybody else is interested.

I already registered but I'm still trying to get my dumbastrik admin to send me. Either way my dime or there's I will be there.

Any suggestions on the RP/FOB on thrusday night?

I should be easy to find this year.

Anybody from the other side of your unit coming?

magic beans to, stop by. I might have a few interesting things for
some folks to look at that have big holes in them.

Well, I am going to attempt to make the show this year just so I cam meet some of you guys with whom have been in communication, for so long. I received a call via LIMA LIMA from TR when I was laid up a year or so ago Ambush Master volunteered to fly in, and straighten out the Doc's, It seems like I talk to TS more often than I call my kids...and I need to meet Bill Harsey, and Longrange 1947, etc, etc.

First problem is registration, I don't have a FFL #, but I have been told that I can purchase a tax # locally. That remains to be seen, I am in Albuquerque and local politics is strange here. Short of that does anyone have any ideas??

No. It has been decided by the powers to be that this is a boondogle and a waste of money. Nothing like really short sightedness. This is where all the latest equipment that the military may use will be shown first and the direction things are going. I need to see the latest in targetry and this gives me a good place to start asking the right questions.

Oh well, will see what happens.

You don't need your FFL, just start registering and follow thru the whole thing and about 1/2 the way thru you will realize you do not need an FFL. I think they designed it to weed out the casual person but not keep out enthusiasts.

Let me know if you have any problems, it only costs 15$ and you should be able to register no problem.
