I tried both 1/20th numbers listed as the officer points of contact as well as the number for A Co. 1/20th SFG(A) with no success. Could anyone provide a current phone number? Thanks.

I have a phone roster current as of 2004 and there may even be a current one at work. I'll check it next week when I stop by the team room. I'm at Gryphon right now so it will take me a while :D . I'll scrub the list and delete the names since people PCS and retire.

Thanks and already edited. I left out the names so when they retire or PCS, it will be easier to manage.

I appreciate it. Hope it doesn't seem like I'm jumping on here and demanding stuff, it's just that I've looked all over the place for POC's for 1/20th with no luck and I saw the ones above and ran out of gas there too! I did try the 20th Group HQ but didn't want to go too far out of the chain (i.e. calling one of the 2/20th units) because who the hell am I anyway? Haha.

Also - I know that language training is a big part of the pipeline process and I was wondering if soldiers were able to "test out" of some/all of the language training based on demonstrated language proficiency. This is perhaps a question better suited for another thread but I did a site search and didn't see this covered. Thanks.

UPDATE:
Contacted the 1/20th company closest to my home and will be drilling with them next month. Might even see some of you guys there. Thanks again.

Does anyone have the contact info for 20th in Louisville, KY? I spoke with the recruiter with 20th in Alabama, and he stated that they are not taking anyone right now due to the deployment(s). However the unit up here in Kentucky around me might be. He said to check with them, and the MI unit they have working with them might also have some openings.

I contacted my brotha that's with them, he's in Afghaniland now, but the number to the rear he gave me is incorrect. If anyone has any info/contact numbers/emails for the Louisville recruiters, MI or 20th's, that would be great.

The numbers in this post are not correct. You need to call the Group S-6
and get the new numbers and locations of the units. The S6 is 205-808-3600

New candidates: we request that you not call the unit to ask questions. Instead email the unit using the address above for the SF training team packet. It is very extensive and will answer most of your questions. If after you have received the packet you still have questions, you may contact the unit directly.

For ACo 3/20th out of Ocala.

I gave a call to the main number (352) 732-1213 and it takes me to a menu which sounds like it is still active. Press 4 for Recruiter. Just disconnects when I do.

Left SFC Carey a VM last week as well as one today at (352)425-5750, but haven't heard back from him yet either.

Also filled out the online information request questionnaire Thursday or Friday of last week from the 20th website.

Is SFC Carey still the 3/20th POC or am I blowing up this poor guy's phone for no reason?

I was going to hold off on that for right now as I assume it takes me directly to Staff Duty/CQ. Last thing I wanna do is be some dude who calls the CQ NCO about recruitment.

If I don't hear from anybody through the other mediums, I'll press 3 :)

I would want to know if the recruiters who were supposed to be working for me were or were not doing their jobs and if the phone system was or was not working properly.

Calling the company to make sure that you have the correct POCs will not be a problem.

I got in touch with SFC Carey.. he is still the correct POC for 3/20th (as of 5/1/2012) . In case anybody is wondering.

That email is linked to 3 guys in the unit. One of them is mine and it may be bouncing because my IL email is deactivated (I'm deployed). One of the other guys should respond. Just give it sometime, the Co is just getting back from SFAUC.
They should send you a packet. If you haven't gotten anything in a week call the unit 708.824.5823.
