I have been wanting a band saw for a long time, I can retire my little scroll now. I ordered this from Grizzly Monday, it shipped from Springfield, Mo. 1600 on Tues. and I had it in my shop Wed. at 1300. It's time to make some sawdust !

After watching the World Series, then the election, then the electoral college take votes from Hillary, and the near constant stream of tears from democrats over the last few months, I had the following epiphany today........

Somewhere there is a devout Cleveland Indians fan that voted for Hillary and in just a few weeks, that same person is going to have to watch their favorite football team lose the Super Bowl.......

...my wife said to me, "what? whats so funny? what are you smiling about?"

Chick-fil-A

The wife and I were at the mall today and she was going to take me out for lunch, anywhere that I would like to go. I chose Chick-fil-A , I like the way they do business. Worked our way up to order, kid behind the counter was very polite, took our order, noticed my "Veterans" hat thanked me for my service shook my hand and then comped our meals, he said it was the least he could do. I was surprised and the wife was speechless, it was a very thoughtful gesture and one that I am most appreciative of, Chick-fil-A made my day.

Three thoughts of the day...

1. This morning, Mrs. DIY received the news that she has been promoted.
2. We had a great check up at her doc's office just a little bit ago.
3. While we were there, we were able to see something on ultra sound that had me smiling from ear to ear - the little bun in the oven is a BOY!!!

She'd beat me if she knew I was bragging about her bc she's ultra modest, so all I can say to that is for her to tie me up and let me have it b/c she's crushing this pregnancy - she ran a half marathon a couple weeks ago and still rucks with me, though she's not carrying weight, now :lifter

Last week celebrated my 75 birthday, and my 50th wedding anniversary.

Wife deserves the credit for both.

Life is good :D
