HTH,

Thanks. Certainly makes sense. I will be sure to try it in the future. I just hope there in no side effect of blocking the poors if I do it a lot.

Your feet will fill up with water and have to be drained with a needle before they explode.

I feel like a retard for not realizing the obvious. The visual I got from that was all but disturbing. I'll have to consider the use of this method with extreme caution.

Thanks,

TFM

Thank you, Mr. Martin, and all those who contributed to the production of a very informative book. Very impressive.

To help you with your commitment to make things better, while trying my best not to insult you or your intelligence :) , I must let you know that I have noticed numerous grammatical errors throughout the book. I must also say that the information you and others have provided far outweigh the errors.

Once again, thank you guys.

Oh yes, you are going to do very well. I can visualize the scene. You are sitting with a tribal chief conducting a serious discussion concerning the future of his village. You cannot, however, resist the temptation to show what you feel is your obvious superiority with your language skills and point out to the the chief that he could be taken more seriously if he didn't dangle his modifiers. Not only did you embarass the chief and put your team at risk but you have demonstrated that you, even though you know absolutely nothing about the individual skills and abilities of the chief, are just another "ugly" American. Now if you felt that the language shortcomings of the chief really needed to be improved because the message he was conveying was confusing and had taken the chief aside you might have made a friend, allowed him to save face, and built up his confidence to deal with you and others who speak English in the future. Now, because your gramatical sensibilities have been bruised, you will probably have to deal through an interpreter, not get a free flow of information because the chief no longer wants to risk being made to look like the village idiot, and you have just set back the effort in this area by years. Apparently you are not "divinely guided" but can claim that the "devil made me do it". I suggest that you put away your Harbrace Handbook and if you truly want to make some constructive criticism make it to the individual in private and not in front of the payday formation. You see few of us are perfeck but we do know what the meaning of the word "is" is!

Tactless. Whatever divinity is guiding you is clearly steering you in the wrong direction.

Eight minutes after your introduction post, you decide to post this little gem. Did you not read the sign in those stickies you claim to have read???

Let's not hijack this thread anymore on this prime example of a severe lack of SA. Back to thread SFAS Preparation Book ....

I very kindly tried to let him know what I thought. I honestly think it's an oustanding book for anyone considering SFAS, prior service or not. I, in no way, tried to be a critic, as I, in no way, am qualified to do so. If my statement has seemed that way, I will gladly retract it and apologize.

Also, I didn't mean to make it sound like my language skills are superior, because they really aren't. Nor did I mean to "embarass the chief." If my initial post has made me seem to want to do these things, again, I will very humbly apologize.

Obviously, I've gotten off on the wrong foot here, but didn't mean to. I'll just shut up. Sorry if I've offended you, Major.

Just enjoy the book for its intended purpose and comment on the content, if you have actually applied it to your daily activities. A lot of heart and soul went into that text. It is a FM, not Hemingway prose.

Be advised: We are a results oriented oganization, both virtually and in reality.

Stay in your lane and enjoy the board.

Bealzebub must have waxed his wings and polished his hooves for that one. Talk about guiding the lamb to the slaughter. Peregrino

I will. Once again, sorry for getting out of line.
