15 years after making the commitment to do so, and as of yesterday, I am now a board certified pediatric hematolog/oncology specialist.

The crazy thing is, I could not have shortened the timeline if I had wanted.

Fifty-eight years ago to I became a slick sleeve PVT-2.
Do it all again in a heart beat and change nothing.

Will do! Once I figure out how to construct it that is (being about only 10' ASL and only owning hand tools) :p

Happy thought...

The daisys are blooming on my property, and I'm looking at them in all their simple and beautiful glory on the right side of the dirt!

Picked 5 gallons of blueberries before 8:00 a.m. !

This year's crop has some as big as small grapes.

Distributed "care packages" of blueberries to some of our elderly neighbors.

We love blueberry season.

My son was picked as the top player at soccer tryouts for both his age bracket and for 1 year older. The evaluators had to play with the opposing team to even the odds when he was playing kids of his own age and called him "a man amongst boys".

Both coaches gave him their blessing to roster for both teams and when he learned he gets to play twice as much soccer he got really excited, and the coach for the older team complimented him by saying he not only stood out as the best player, but also made his teammates better players through his leadership. :lifter

The pleasures of Firewood

Both sons home at moment, Oldest waiting on College to start back up, and youngest just finished 10th grade. A local tree trimmer called, asked if I wanted 15-20 cords of firewood, he has a big job about 3 miles down the road from the house. We help cut and take the wood. He and his two helpers, drop all the trees, clean up all the brush, chips and hauls all the brush for my back wood trails.

The best part, we show up day two, he tells his helpers they need to work harder since my boys are unemployed, and are looking good for replacing them for the summer. They make me proud every day, but just something awesome about hearing it from others.

Then again it might just be my sons are just excited we are not dragging logs with the horses this time.
