I just won the auction for an all-matching 1931 hex receiver Izzy 91/30 for $175.01. Didn't think it wouild go for so little. Just a couple of years ago I could have bought a crate of 20 of them for about $1500.00, maybe less, and now I'm kicking myself for not doing that. But I got this one.:D:D:D

Nice video...... Thanks for posting it....

It's an amazing place.

As strange as it may seem, photos and video don't fully capture the beauty.

The 13 year old finally got that confounded bite plate out today, and the 10 year old came by after school to wait on his brother and Mom to get done at the orthodontist. He made origami animals for everyone.

Sure, it's small. But during tax season, every little ray of sunshine is welcome. :D

The first flower blossom from my pink cloud flowering cherry. Lots of love went into planting her in the fall because no tree planted here before survived. I tilled about a 20' diameter 2' deep, added soil amendment and alpaca poo and hoped for the best.

I remember when your Dad retired, and I was a (relatively) young SF soldier.

Our times all come, eventually. The chapters end and new ones begin.

Congratulations, I hope you find the transition painless and a prosperous future.

My mother remains fit and healthy as she ages.
And she's getting faster.

She ran a 22:36 in a women-only 5k race today (about 7:18 minutes per mile).
Took third place overall.

The race had mainly a mixture of fitness buffs rather than dedicated runners.
Nonetheless, at nearly 66 years old, she was proud to represent "pre-Title IX" women.

Good for her!

My 73 y/o mother recently went zip-lining through a Mexican forest after riding a donkey to get there.

Gotta love these ladies and their idea of "old age." :lifter :D

Another day done at the "office".
Spent much of the workday sitting in my cubicle, staring out the window.

Fortunately, the cubicle has wheels and the views out the window were pretty good for the better part of 300 miles.

SF BHT, It's more like go to the fifth road, at the third rock turn right go over two washes and we are the big brown hogan next to the smaller hogan with the goats outside. You can't miss it.

I run EMS out here. It gets entertaining at times.
