Long story short...I survived with some road rash on my arm and a head ache.

Yep...I would say it was a very good day. Glad to hear you survived...bikes are replaceable...bodies...not so much.

The UPS truck showed up this afternoon and - now that the weather's finally cooled down around here - my delayed wine club selections which normally would have arrived about six weeks ago were finally shipped and delivered.

Salud!

There was this guy leaving last night in the 3rd Inning. . . of Game 6 (edit to add, "this just in from MRFL "He was pretty lit")
noticed this cute kid by the gate . . . (edit to add, "who was looking at homeplate through some nice nerds home-made telescope")
and the rest is history!:D (edit to add, "that will never be repeated, ever, again!")
Go Cards!

I dismounted my iron steed, and rolled about 50 meters down the road.:lifter Long story short...I survived with some road rash on my arm and a head ache. Unfortunately my bike suffered a worse fate.:( It's gonna be a good day Tater.;)

Had a similar incident back in '90. Needless to say, I was VERY fortunate as well. Pavement is rough just falling down normally, at 50-55 MPH it is downright unforgiving. Glad you made it through in one piece.
Now go do some pushups! :p

Cheers!

Mick

90 days sober so I may live to see my Little Layle Bug, my granddaughter, grow up.

Good for you! Keep strong, one day at a time. Best to you and your beautiful granddaughter, she is a great inspiration no doubt.

A great day hanging out with friends. Did the monthly "redneck match" with adjustments for physical constraints (first opportunity to get out and relax since throwing my back out). 1. Firing line towards targets. 2. 500M target line towards firing line. 3. 500M target (might have to try again next month with one of the bolt guns :D).

Took my 11 year-old out shooting while in Colorado on Friday.
He blazed away with my AR, my friends .45, and a few other guns.

Zeroed my Robar with a commercial load.
It grouped 1.25 inches @ 255 yards from the trunk of my car; it's probably not worth handloading until my shooting skills catch up to the gun.

The 11 year-old decided he'd try to hit the makeshift target stand (a 3ft square piece of plywood) from 255 yards with his grandpa's Walther P22.
My friend and I chuckled.

After 10 shots, we weren't chuckling.
He hit it 5 times.
