Not a big fan of lit sights, as they tend to upset my night vision, witch is still good.

When the tritium 1/2 life, on mine, dies, I might not bother to replace??

I am also ambivalent about flashlights on a home defense weapon.

I may be using the wrong word.
The HK has 3 dot sights. Each dot is a dimple in the metal of the sight post. Painted on to/(into) the dimple is a material that is white during day light but glows at night. If I hit mine for a quick second with a flashlight they will glow all night at an intensity very close to tritium. HK claims they will last a lifetime. I would really like to get some of these with the magic paint for my SIG.

If not, I will have to order some new tritiums, sadly my night vision is not as good as yours JJ_BPK!
