Ammo used Speer LE Gold Dot 230 gr. GDHP. Federal Tactical Hydra-Shok 230 gr. JHP. Remington 230 gr. FMJ. The Colt shots the best groups at 25 yds. 1.5 -2.0 inches. I never cared for any of the Smith autos either until this pistol was introduced into the market place.

It's recieved mostly great reviews.

They also make the M&P with a thumb safety if your not interested in DAO type trig without a safety. Personally I can keep my finger off the trigger until at which time it's necessary or safe to point and fire. ;)

Although I must admit that I have five 1911's

I picked up a Glock 30 SF about a week ago, handles really well, trying a few different rounds to see what i like best.I still havent found a conceal holster for it yet though.
