Class 006-17 selected. This is my first time posting since my introduction many, many moons ago. I wanted to thank this community for offering the wealth of knowledge in that time. Looking forward to the next 25m target; see you all down the road, God willing.

19 day non select.

i guess i wasnt as prepared for team week as i was expecting. Really when people say selection is only 4 days, they are right. I got worked and it showed. Well, at least i know what i need to work on for next time. Thank you all for the info and knowledge. This website help me alot.

if you don't mind me asking what is a 19 day non select vs 24 day non select?

Los Osos 4 Life 02-03-2019 15:11

A female made it....a man should have made

a women made it

A women made it with removed obstacles. Granted, since a women made it then an average man should make it, would be nice if we had one standard and that standard would come from the very first year SFAS was started.
Second point; best feeling I had was passing phase I in 1986, incredibly hard course, really sucked, lost a lot of guys. Failed 18D, 19 year old pussy hound, deserved to fail. Got the pleasure of attending SFAS in 1990, passed with broken foot and broken wrist, great feeling to be selected. Started the painful and difficult task of the Q course....then reality began and the realization of the responsibilities and difficulty of being a competent team mate.
Congratulations on being selected, enjoy. Only allows you to attend the Q. Pass that...it allows you to be at the lowest level allowed on an ODA, there is no real graduation, there is only the privilege to do a difficult occupation most cannot do....there is always another rung on the ladder so finishing requires one of two things, death or quitting. Sorry for being wordy, 3rd glass of whiskey (yes, with an "e"). Good luck

Second times a charm I guess.
Team week, team week, team week, can’t harp on it enough. Prepare yourself mentally and physically for the onslaught that is team week. You’ll have guys quitting or “med drop” left and right all the way up till the last day

Way to stick with it until the end of that phase. Don’t lose sight of the next hurdle by looking for the finish line.
