Nice job Iowa

Permission slip to engage in commerce, and permission slip to carry gone.
Nice job Gov. Reynolds. An armed citizenry, inspiring terror in the hearts of elected evil-doers. As it should be in a Republic.
Understand TN has one shortly to be signed as well.

Everytime you make a nefarious politician or aspiring tyrant a-skeered of you a pitchfork gets its wings.
(somethin' like that)

Rules-Laws-Requests:

Elected & Appointed "Officials" should take note that they who think they are anointed to positions of power are there to SERVE the citizens NOT to RULE over them by decree for a lifetime. You lifelong bureaucrats, Comey, Rosenstein, Page, Strok, Shumer, Pelosi, and the rest of the elitist self-serving DC beltway mob the pendulum is about to swing back. The MSM will abandon you the same as they Left Como to flounder in controversy... It's coming to a locale near you.

It's catching

Push back against the Main Leviathan by individual states, prefaced with several citations affirming states' rights. Following that, here's a small sample of the text of a bill introduced in Arkansas:

That is the essence of where we find ourselves in modern America.
We are in a terrible rush to sell our freedoms for a profit. Its why so many celebrities seem so willing to shit talk their countrymen over a voting law or gender based bathroom use while simultaneously selling their souls to communist China.

When you sell off your rights, what you get in return are "privileges" and the problem is - you dont get to buy them back
worlds of difference between rights and privileges
...but hey, I got my stimmey check

No dispute there at all. That nipple ALWAYS has serious strings attached, like the center of a gnarly piece of squash. Locally we're going through this right now. Had this other rant ready about what Governors do with that bak-sheesh from Mordor but it's way off-topic for this long-standing thread. F'ers.

NM Governor suspends carry in Albuquerque

Quote:

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days following recent instances of gun violence.

The governor said she expects the order to face legal challenges but that she believed she needed to act in response to recent gun-related deaths, such as an 11-year-old boy who was shot and killed outside a minor league baseball stadium earlier this week.

"When New Mexicans are afraid to be in crowds, to take their kids to school, to leave a baseball game — when their very right to exist is threatened by the prospect of violence at every turn — something is very wrong," Lujan Grisham said in a statement.

The suspension was classified as an emergency public health order, and applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, excluding police and licensed security guards. The restriction is connected to a threshold for violent crime rates met only by the Albuquerque area.
...
The governor's order on Friday also directs state regulators to conduct monthly inspections of firearms dealers statewide to ensure compliance with gun laws.

The state Department of Health will conduct a report on gunshot victims at New Mexico hospitals that includes age, race, gender and ethnicity, as well as the brand and caliber of firearm involved and other general circumstances.

Guess I will be one of her targets here. Not going to change a thing. She is such a tyrant. We were the worst state in regards to COVID rules and length.

Remember, she started that Covid scam Mask Mandate of hers, for 30 days, under the guise of a "Public Health Emergency."

Glad I got out of that state when I did.

When actions like this are taken, the tone of the response is very important.
People are motivated by fear.

That motivation can easily be used to turn herds in any direction.
2020 is evidence of that.

Yes, she is acting like a dictator.
But she doesn’t actually have the power to back it, unless people willingly submit.

It is important to frame this as an act of desperation, because they are losing.
Any time anybody rants concerning it, make sure to include that bit.

Tyrants losing power are always dangerous, but it is important to emphasize that they are losing.
That way, fear motivates people to be careful rather than submissive.

Take from them the power of fear.
Frame all of their actions as signs of weakness.

Hearts and minds.

Couldn’t have said it better!

When the “Revolution goes ‘live’, the people I worry about don’t scare me”

Just who, exactly, does this twat-waddle think is going to enforce her little tyrannical rules? Just what segment of the population will actually confiscate the guns? Just how exactly does she think this ends?

The answers are simple. She doesn’t think it will go that far. Hell, I doubt she’s actually thought about that at all…….

There are precisely 2 defining characteristics of a true American:

1) An American will give the shirt off his back to help people in need. We have literally buried our Fallen Soldiers on other people’s ground so we could free them from tyranny.

2) An American will tell anyone to Fuck Off who tries to rule us.

Swinging on Grateful Citizen's trapeze...
In addition to the previous squishy remarks of the County Sheriff:

Quote:

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman, who once served as a Democratic party leader and was appointed by Lujan Grisham, on Saturday joined Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller and Police Chief Harold Medina saying they wouldn’t enforce the order.

“As an officer of the court, I cannot and will not enforce something that is clearly unconstitutional,” said Bregman, the top prosecutor in the Albuquerque area. “This office will continue to focus on criminals of any age that use guns in the commission of a crime.”

Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen said he was uneasy about how gun owners might respond.

“I am wary of placing my deputies in positions that could lead to civil liability conflicts,” Allen said, “as well as the potential risks posed by prohibiting law-abiding citizens from their constitutional right to self-defense.”

Tyrants and Dictators will break the law(s) when there's an emergency;
They'll also create emergencies so they can break the law(s).
