Unless your "Corporate Pic" is way old, you don't have enough time to even start !!! I have had one for ever, but Walt Shumate got me to start the "Handlebar" motif and now I maintain it in his memory !!

I'll wager on something that looks similar to a sidewalk or curb that needs edging !!!:D

Warning, warning, this thread about a righteous topic has been hijacked!

Solid 08-12-2004 12:20

Oh man. I remember when I hijacked a thread and had NDD and his Take Down team smoke me out of my hole. That was too bad, it was a darn fine hijack.

ROFLMAO nice one Razor!

LOL

Sdiver 08-14-2004 01:42

OKay...We've got The Duke's influence for his character.

Anyone know who Aldo Ray's (aka Muldoon) or Jim Hutton's (aka Petersen) got their influences from?

QRQ 30...Col. M...Ambush Master.....any guys like that on any one of your teams? :D

brownapple 08-14-2004 02:23

Well, hell...you haven't got a team if it hasn't got a scrounger. They come in all MOSs, all ranks... and they just can get what you need.

I'd bet that jgbkk was the scrounger on his ODA...

Seems to me that RL can't be qualified to be a moderator on these boards if he hasn't even seen The Green Berets.

Ok, who was Collier in the movie? It is on AMC again right now and i'll be damned if I did not see Richard Pryor listed in the credits. Sure as crap it has him having a bit part with his name being Collier. Was that the driver at the airfield?

Kyobanim 08-21-2004 21:01

It was on again tonight on AMC, RL. How many times do they have to show it before you break down and watch it?

As the Duke would say, Move Out

Every time I hear/see that phrase, I have flashbacks to Mr. Roberts. I used to like that movie until I did a cruise on USS Debuque in September of 89, that movie was on 5 times a day for 2 weeks. Took some of the "magic" out of the movie for me, although I am still oft to quote "It is I Ensign Pulver!" after knocking on the door of someone who is in on the joke.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA! are you saying that not only (had) you not seen "The Green Berets", but also haven't seen "Mr. Roberts"?

Is that what I'm hearing?

If that is the case, you'd better get to renting it. Henry Fonda and Jack Lemon at their best!

brewmonkey 08-23-2004 18:00

He has not seen Mr. Roberts? Next thing you're going to tell me is that he has not seen The Caine Mutiny.

Then we have the M*A*S*H issue as well. I dare not mention any others like "The Longest Day" or "A Bridge to Far."
