Walter,
By "first ones" are you referring to an original SOE or OSS lapel dagger?

Walter, aha...Thank you, I couldn't find that in your link using the search term "lapel dagger" at the A.G. Russel website.

Lapel daggers

He quit making them sometime in the mid 90's, I think it was, for some reason.

I bought a set of the lapel daggers a year ago. I can not find the store I got them from but on the clear plastic is the original Mfgr info.

It is Blackjack Knives, Ltd Effingham, Illinois U.S.A.

Hope that helps....

Blackjack Knives made a zytel copy of the OSS lapel dagger until they closed in the late 90's. I have a few laying around from a trip to their company outlet store. As I recall, they made tons of them and AG Russel and The Cutlery Shoppe sold them like hotcakes for a while as well at US Cavalry and Brigade Quartermaster.

I think BudK had a batch a couple of years ago.

You can find them advertised on the the internet, but I don't know if they actually are in stock.

Where to get the lapel daggers

we move alot of them to the guys for their E&E prep as I thought they would be good to include. They are not the end all but might help in the right situation. E.

I know more than one Vietnam Vet who said he'd trade a bayonett for a an e-tool in a fight any day of the week.

"It'd take a head clean off."

Now if only I could get an e-tool through airport security...

Do I remember correctly: that an e-tool was COL Mize' weapon of choice or last resort?

Mean looking surprise!
I like it!

But as a neck knife...
I would not like carrying my knife around the neck!
