Heard the bad news yesterday from a SOG list. Miley was one sharp SF mind and a true hard core professional soldier.
I will never forget when I was SOC CO for the SFOC's final field exercise in late 69 that he ordered me to keep an eye on all SF MD's. He was tired of their moon lighting in local hospitals and wanted them where the troops were. A rare breed is gone. A tip of the beret sir. RIP. |
