Difficult Loss
 

Craig and I were classmates at USASMA and served together as Co SGM's in 3/1. He was a True Quiet Professional and always brought a calm, level headed demeanor eveywhere he went. He impacted all who knew him and those of us who were lucky enough to know Craig should consider ourselves fortunate. God bless his family and those he left behind for they have lost a great husband, father, and son. The Regiment lost a Soldier's Soldier.
RIP, you'll never be forgotten.

RIP SGM. I never had a chance to meet him but my team will be conducting the firing detail at his memorial. Our 2nd one in two weeks and the 3rd memorial for 1st SFG(A) in the last 3 weeks.

The online memorial for Craig. Craig was married to my cousin, and even though I didn't get to spend much time around him, when I was around him, he was always very polite and very humble. A true Quiet Professional.

Rest In Peace SGM Griffin!

I was on Craig's team in Bad Toelz, ODA-014, when we changed our team name from "The Hard Heads" to "The Kitchen" after he yelled out to one of our team mates: If you can't stand the heat, get the hell out!
I still think he was the one who started our team on an Indian Run the last 3 or so miles of a 20 mile ruck march; nobody wanted to be seen as the slacker who quit. He was the eptitome of "peer pressure" and made me a better commo sgt.
Take care Griff, we will see you on the other side, sooner or later.

SGM Griffin was one of the first senior non-coms I met when inprocessing to 3/1SFG. He had a way about him that made me instantly look up to him as an example of what an SF soldier should be. Very professional, friendly, empathetic, discerning, and a hell of a reputation. I would've followed him anywhere. Always rough to find out that a guy like that is gone. He will be greatly missed. Prayers to his family and closest friends.
