class 07-11, 18D - Arabic

Richard 04-24-2011 06:27

18D and Arabic - I hope you enjoy a challenge and are prepared to embrace the suck of study, study, and more study when your friends want to go out. Get your mind wrapped around the concept and keep your focus on your end goal. The opportunity to party will come after you've completed your training and have orders to Group; wait for it.

For you 18D's - good luck and I'll pass on some words to us from MSG Bob Scully when he was our NCOIC at the lab:

"Grades don't mean s**t. You're either good enough or you aren't. I don't want any 80% medic working on me and I won't pass any 80% medic on to join a team. They're better than that and they deserve better than that. And if you can't decide whether or not you're good enough to be a team medic, don't worry about it - we're here to help you make the right decision."

Richard,

I am very much looking forward to the academic dimension of the Q course. I may not comprehend now just how demanding it will be but if the assessors deemed me capable, I'll be up to the task. I just need to focus, focus, focus. I still can't believe I've been blessed with this challenge.

Great quote,
I hated seeing the posts on the doors that said what do you call a doctor that graduates at the bottom of his class.
Granted I only ever met 1 D that I wouldn't let near me with any sharp object.
